Sport Clips Haircuts Kicks Off Annual St. Baldrick’s Fundraiser to Support Childhood Cancer Research

GEORGETOWN, Texas (MAR. 17, 2026) - Sport Clips Haircuts is launching its annual fundraiser supporting the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, inviting clients to donate in stores nationwide from March 22 through May 2 to help fund childhood cancer research.

Clients are encouraged to “Step Up to the Plate” to donate to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, the largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants in the U.S. Since 2005, St. Baldrick’s has awarded more than $371 million to support lifesaving research, and Sport Clips has contributed nearly $5 million to that total. Donations collected during the campaign support programs aimed at developing more effective treatments and cures for childhood cancers, which remain the leading cause of disease-related death among children.

“Sport Clips clients and team members continue to show up each year with incredible generosity to support St. Baldrick's and its work to fund childhood cancer research,” says Amanda Palm, Sport Clips director of communications and partnerships. “This is important to us as a brand, and through our partnership with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, we’re helping fuel the scientific breakthroughs that give children and families hope.”

This year’s campaign will also highlight the St. Baldrick’s Foundation Ambassador Stephen Foltin, a teenager from Arlington Heights, Illinois, who was diagnosed in 2023 with Ewing sarcoma, a rare bone cancer. After undergoing extensive treatment, including chemotherapy, surgery, and amputation, Foltin is now in remission and advocates for childhood cancer research funding.

Despite the challenges he's faced, Stephen is focused on his future. He’s an avid hockey fan and student broadcaster and has aspirations of competing in sled hockey at the Paralympics and becoming a sports announcer. As an ambassador, Stephen travels across the country sharing his story and speaking on behalf of the roughly 400,000 children worldwide diagnosed with cancer each year. He is scheduled to attend the Sport Clips National Huddle this April in Louisville, Kentucky, where he will share his story with thousands of franchisees, stylists, and team members to rally the crowd to step up for childhood cancer research and play their part in the nationwide fundraising effort.

Clients can contribute by making donations during visits to Sport Clips locations. Find out more by visiting StBaldricks.org or SportClips.com.
