Sport Clips Haircuts Stylists Bring Hollywood Inspiration to "The Look" 2026 Competition

Sport Clips Haircuts Stylists Bring Hollywood Inspiration to "The Look" 2026 Competition

GEORGETOWN, Texas (May 12, 2026) – Sport Clips Haircuts put creativity in the spotlight at its annual National Huddle as top stylists from across the U.S. and Canada competed in "The Look" 2026, a signature event that celebrates the brand’s commitment to skill, style, and career growth. Six finalists advanced in this year’s competition, where a movie-inspired theme challenged them to transform big-screen looks into fresh, trendy men’s styles.

A highlight of Huddle each year, The Look brings together standout talent from Sport Clips’ network of more than 15,000 professional stylists, giving them the opportunity to showcase their technical expertise and creativity on a national stage. From precision fades to textured, trend-forward cuts, this year’s finalists demonstrated the advanced training and attention to detail that define Sport Clips' stylists.

The six finalists included this year’s The Look winner Mina Pakdaman of Thousand Oaks, CA, along with:

  • Miranda Rogers of Burlington, Ontario – Second place
  • Ashley Oeller of Dover, DE – Third place
  • Evan Parham of Simpsonville, SC – Honorable Mention
  • Kate Mork of North Liberty, IA – Honorable Mention
  • Nathalie Johnson of Fort Worth, TX – Honorable Mention

“This year’s finalists brought creativity and confidence to the stage during Sport Clips’ National Huddle,” said Stacia Kelley, artistic director for Sport Clips. “The movie theme gave them room to take inspiration from iconic looks and make each style their own. That kind of creative freedom, combined with our 'Fans First' Huddle theme, reflects what Sport Clips is all about: giving stylists opportunities to grow their careers while delivering an exceptional experience for every client.”

Each finalist shared their movie inspiration for their look and feeling about the experience:

Mina Pakdaman - Mina credits her son’s favorite movie character, Harry Potter, for her look. She put a modern spin on Harry’s cut, giving it length on top with a low taper in the back. She incorporated SexyHair Texture Spray and STMNT Texture Power to style. After being encouraged to compete by her store manager, Mina says the experience was challenging but rewarding.

Miranda Rogers - Inspiration for Miranda’s look came from the basketball movie, “Amateur.” She tweaked the style of the main character and created a style with a textured curl on top, taper on the sides, and with clean edges. She used Gibs Hitman and Gibs Styling Texture Powder to finish off the look. For Miranda, the experience was phenomenal, and she most enjoyed hanging out with the other finalists.

Ashley Oeller - The style Ashley created came straight from “Point Break,” specifically Keanu Reeves’ character. She created a relaxed, layered haircut and incorporated Gibs Styling Texture Powder to style. After six years with the brand, being a finalist for The Look is something she never thought she could do and it was an amazing experience.

Evan Parham - His look was inspired by the movie “Fight Club” and featured a short, cropped cut with a couple of inches of length on top and short on the sides. Evan used STMNT Matte Paste, applying it to wet hair and drying to style. As a former band member who used to perform on tour, Evan said the competition brought back positive feelings of performing and being on-stage.

Kate Mork - As a stylist, Kate is a fan of dramatic transformations, and she used Thor’s long hair-to-short hair transformation in “Thor: Ragnarok” as the inspiration for her look. Her model was given a standard fade with unique designs on each temple. To style, Kate used Gibs Ultra Cream and Gibs Brawler. For Kate, her experience was a combination of excitement and nerves, but was overall a wonderful experience.

Nathalie Johnson - Rather than start with a movie or show, Nathalie started with a cut and found a character to match - ending up with a look tied to A.C. Slater from “Saved By The Bell.” The cut was a burst mullet with a curly top and a fade over the ears. She used SexyHair Curl Powder and Gibs Tactical Texture to style the look. After sitting on the sidelines at National Huddle and watching the competition, being part of it is more than she could have dreamed.

Judges for The Look competition included Jim Massey from American Crew, Steve Vilot from Gibs Grooming, and Manny San Martin with John Paul Mitchell Systems. The winner and finalists received travel and hotel accommodations to the Louisville event as well as a cash prize and exclusive package that includes tools, products, and swag from American Crew, BaByliss Pro, Gamma+, Gibs Grooming, John Paul Mitchell Systems, SexyHair, STMNT Grooming Goods, StyleCraft, and Wahl Clipper.
