In 2016, Sport Clips Haircuts proudly signed on as St. Baldrick’s Foundation’s first national sponsor, and since then, has contributed almost $4.7 million to life-saving and life-changing childhood cancer research through annual in-store fundraiser and local fundraisers in stores throughout the year.
This year, our fundraising campaign features St. Baldrick's Foundation Ambassador Stephen Foltin, pictured above with Sport Clips Manager Jill Baruch at his favorite store in Arlington Heights, IL. Stephen was diagnosed in 2023 with Ewing sarcoma, a rare bone cancer. After undergoing extensive treatment, including chemotherapy, surgery, and amputation, he is now in remission and advocates for childhood cancer research funding. Despite the challenges he's faced, Stephen is focused on his future. He’s an avid hockey fan and student broadcaster and has aspirations of competing in sled hockey at the Paralympics and becoming a sports announcer. As an ambassador, Stephen travels across the country sharing his story and speaking on behalf of the roughly 400,000 children worldwide diagnosed with cancer each year. He is scheduled to attend the Sport Clips National Huddle this April in Louisville, Kentucky, where he will share his story with thousands of franchisees, stylists, and team members to rally the crowd to step up for childhood cancer research and play their part in the nationwide fundraising effort.
