Sport Clips VFW Help a Hero 200 at Darlington Raceway shifts to Saturday, April 5, as the opening race of The Official Throwback Weekend of NASCAR

Darlington Raceway and Sport Clips Haircuts announced today an extension of their longstanding partnership, which includes the naming rights of the April 5 NASCAR Xfinity Series race at the Track Too Tough to Tame.
The Sport Clips VFW Help a Hero 200 will serve as the opening race of The Official Throwback Weekend of NASCAR and continue an impactful relationship that began in 2012.
“Sport Clips Haircuts has been a great partner of Darlington Raceway, and more importantly, an incredible advocate for our veterans,” said Darlington Raceway President Josh Harris. “We are proud to continue working with Sport Clips Haircuts to raise awareness of their veterans-assistance efforts and make a difference for the men and women who have served our country.”
Sport Clips will continue as the Official Hair Care Service Provider of Darlington Raceway and will continue to have extensive signage around the race track. The green flag for the Sport Clips VFW Help a Hero 200 will fly shortly after 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, and air live on the CW Network.

Since 2013, Sport Clips has been the primary supporter of the VFW’s "Sport Clips Help a Hero Scholarship" program, which provides scholarships for service members and veterans for use at post-secondary schools and trade schools. Through its annual in-store fundraiser, Sport Clips stores and product partners raised $1.33 million last fall for the program. To date, more than 3,000 scholarships totaling $14.5 million have been awarded.
